In Utawarerumono, the player takes the role of Hakuoro, a mysterious masked man who awakens one day in a strange village without having any recollections of his past. Soon he discovers that the country inhabitants are being oppressed by their emperor. Hakuoro organizes a rebellion, and eventually becomes the emperor himself. Determined to bring peace to the world, Hakuoro must nevertheless fight against countries who oppose his benevolent rule, and discover the truth about his own past in the process. Utawarerumono is a turn-based tactical RPG with elements of a visual novel. Much of the narrative develops through text and still images, with the player being able to make a choice from time to time. Battles occur as dictated by the narrative.

I mount the ISO, I go to the english patch but when I am prompted to find the location of the “original japanese game DVD” Utaware_DVD I assume, I select the folder that is containing the file but then I get this error message “Could not find the Japanese at the specified location. Please insert the disc into your DVD-ROM drive and enter the full path to it’s root directory, for example E: ”. I do not understand what the problem is. Description: Hakuoro, who one day is found by a family of two girls and their grandmother in a nearby forest close to their village. He is badly injured and is soon found to have amnesia, so they take him to their home and treat him until he is well again. Hakuoro is soon accepted into their village where he stays and lives with them, but before long Hakuoro finds that life in this village is being oppressed by the greedy emperor who rules over the country their village resides in. Soon after, these negative actions taken towards their village result in him leading a rebellion against the emperor of the country which later lands him to become emperor of a vast new country which is named Tusukuru, after the well-respected woman who helped saved his life. After Tusukuru is founded, Hakuoro gets many warriors under his command. The first is an impulsive and zealous dual-sword–wielding former bandit named Oboro.
